Documentation Specialist/Editor

Location: Landover, MD, US

Base Pay: 44000 To 48000 (USD) Annually

Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibility

Under general supervision, the Documentation Specialist/Editor will be responsible for assisting in maintenance of the documents library. Coordinating the revision, review and approval of documents. Duties include, updating, organizing and maintaining company-wide Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The position will be responsible for procedures for maintaining and control of documents within Ascellon’s Quality Management Systems (ISO, CMMI and QMS). Other duties include providing support of proposal and marketing efforts by formatting and proof-reading materials, following the approved guidelines for written materials.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Business or related disciplines.
  • Detail oriented with impeccable organizational skills.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in writing and document control.
  • Effective communications skills, both verbal and written.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and SharePoint.
  • Ability to edit technical documents.
  • Self-directed and able to work with minimum supervision to accomplish objectives.
  • Experience with proposal writing is a plus.
